Pink Cake Stand
My collection of cake stands is growing!!! This is my latest addition. A six inch pink milk glass stand from Donna Hay!!
Pink Roses
Dad is turning 73 and doesn't really mind what sort of cake he gets - as long as he gets to eat most of it :-) I've wanted to make a green or blue cake for a long time - so this was my golden opportunity. Happy Birthday Dad!!!

Buttercream Roses
A cake made for my regular customer Maxine, for her Mum's birthday :-) A chocolate mud cake with dark chocolate ganache - and buttercream rose swirls.
Rose Garden Cupcake
Just a cupcake for fun!! Actually I made a whole batch for a church lunch but at the last minute it was cancelled. Thankfully I hadn't decorated any yet. Into the freezer they went - less one!

Vintage Style Cupcakes
Really pleased with how these turned out. I recently purchased some new silicone molds from the U.S and had heaps of fun making cameos and lace. Everything on the cupcakes is edible.

Sam's Tractor Cake
My big boy Sam turned 4 a few weeks ago. I tried to get him to choose what cake he would like me to make, but every time he looked through one of my cake decorating books he picked something different. Finally we decided on a tractor (with a lot of coersion on my part). We copied off one of his toy tractors and made out of polystyrene, then covered it with fondant/gumpaste. It was made over two weeks as I thought he might enjoy being involved in the making of it. Unfortuately there was no surprise for him on the day but Sam enjoyed seeing the progression until it actually looked like a real tractor. Fun to make :-)

More cupcakes! This time they are for my husband Tim to take to work. Thanks to a website called 'Cotton & Crumbs' for the inspiration.

Peace Rose
Making a rose out of sugarpaste is the biggest challange; and then once you have achieved a nice looking one, it is then quite difficult to make another exactly the same! After admiring some cakes in a magazine with yellowy pink roses, I decided to have a go at making one myself. The garden rose I used to model my rose is called "Peace" and is creamy yellow with pink edges. I've put it in a vase with some pink silk roses and I'm quite pleased with the result. Now all I have to do is make another one the same!!!!
